About Us

Mission & Vision

At Citi Montessori, We strive to be a leading International school that nurtures global citizens who are confident, compassionate, and committed to lifelong learning, inspiring them to make a positive impact on the world. Our vision is to provide a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic , critical thinking, and creativity.’

Our Philosophy

The very foundation of our educational approach lies in Montessori philosophy, which focuses on child-centered, hands-on learning experiences. We believe that every child is naturally curious and inspired to learn, and it is our role as educators to create an environment that supports their growth in a way that is both respectful and engaging.

Our Montessori classrooms are designed to encourage independence, collaboration, and self-motivation. Students are given the freedom to explore topics that interest them while being guided by a structured, yet flexible curriculum. This approach fosters critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills, ensuring that each child progresses at their own pace.
Complementing the Montessori method, we also offer the globally recognised Cambridge Curriculum, providing a solid foundation for academic excellence and future opportunities. This combination allows us to cater to diverse learning styles and equip learners with both local and international perspectives.

Our Values

At Citi Montessori, our values guide everything we do, from our instructional methods to how we engage with our community. These values reflect our commitment to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring educational environment:

Our History

Barely ten years ago, the dream of establishing a school came to mind. On the 6th of January 2009, the dream came to manifestation and REPUBLIC ACADEMY was established. Located in Kasoa, near Great Lamptey Mills S.H.S. (now Royal Majesty SHS), the school was founded to provide quality education and to train generational leaders who will take up leadership positions in Ghana and beyond. The school began with five classrooms (KG1 to P3), with five teachers and thirty pupils. A year later, it was registered by Registrar Generals’ Department Accra and Ghana Education Service as one of the private institutions in the country to provide basic education in the Awutu Senya East Municipality and Ghana as a whole. By the grace of God, we started one classroom after the other; year after year and this is how far the Lord has brought us. The school participated in it’s first External Examination, the BECE in 2014 and excelled tremendously. The success story continued until 2017 when the school became an examination centre for the BECE. In 2018, the school attained a Presidential award as one of our Pupils was accorded the Best student in the Municipality. The school over the years has faced a lot of challenges but the Lord who is our Banner is always on our side. As part of its commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in education, the institution has given birth to Citi Montessori, a sister school that incorporates both the Advanced Montessori curriculum and the prestigious Cambridge curriculum. Citi Montessori is dedicated to offering a unique blend of Montessori principles with an international perspective, positioning students for global competitiveness and leadership roles. This expansion reflects our vision to provide world-class education and to raise students who are not only academically sound but also equipped with critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
